In chapter 7, Holden tells the reader several times how he feels. How DOES he feel, and how do you know?

  1. I think he feels in chapter 7 that he is feeling sorry for himself and that he wants a better life but can't get it from anybody. But thing that lacks right now is his education and what really is going on in his life.

  3. Holden tells the reader how he feels, but Im not sure that HE even knows how he feels. Holdens mind is still developing, and with all of the traumatic and changing events in his life, Holden starts to feel as though the world is unrelieable and unpredictable. Holden likes the appearence of blood on his face, to point where he goes out in public without washing it off. This clearly shows how unstable and fragile Holdens mental state is. It seems like he could break from any sort of trigger, especially one that means something to him like Jane Gallegher.

  4. I think that he is jelous of his friends and family because they had a better upbringing by their parents than he did. His parents don't want anything to do with him so they send him away and don't call or text or even mail/ e-mail him. He just wants someone to love him and care for him.

  5. He cant keep a basis on how he feels because his emotions are constantly fluxuating. This can cause him to feel any multitude of things
